Leisure
: There are castles (notably Edinburgh and Stirling) and lochs, museums
and battle sites - Stirling Bridge (William Wallace) and Bannockburn (King
Robert the Bruce), which all Scots love to talk about, and Culloden, which
we prefer to forget, where visitor centres give a good resume of the history
Closer to home; North Queensferry is a
charming place to stroll about. There's the ruin of St. James' Chapel,
recently designated as an Ancient Monument, (next door to our house). The
old Town Pier, where the Ferry Boats used to sail from, and St.
James' Harbour. A leaflet describing a village walk is provided
in your room. We also have Deep Sea World, Scotland's largest aquarium,
just 2 minutes walk from the house
Coming
