Lindsay & Malcolm inherited the house in 1994 and had it completely renovated, endeavouring to maintain its character and charm.

We accept a maximum of two guests. Our motto is...."Our home is your Home".
We are a small, non-smoking, Bed and Breakfast, which enables us to offer a personal and flexible service to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We thoroughly enjoy having visitors to our home and hope this is reflected in the attention we provide. It's certainly reflected in comments from our guests, many of whom have returned time and again.
Regrettably, the traditional style of the house makes it unsuitable for people who are wheelchair dependent or who cannot climb stairs with minimal assistance (there are two handrails).
Lindsay speaks basic French and understands some German.
We are in regular contact with the local Tourist Information Centre and also with other B&B owners in the area. If your party exceeds 2 in number, we may be able to help you find additional accommodation for the others.
We have tried to make the guest room as comfortable as possible. It has a desk, remote controled colour TV, bathrobes, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, razor adaptor, a range of toiletries and personal items, up to date magazines and a comprehensive range of tourist books and pamphlets. You have your own keys for the house & room, and can come and go as you please.
Enjoy eating Lindsay's homemade shortbread biscuits by the original stone fire place,or on the lawn admiring the garden as sunlight glows on the magnificent Rail Bridge.
Your Scottish breakfast is taken in the cosy kitchen/dining room with its view of the bridge and river. Read "The London Times", whilst choosing from: fresh fruit, yoghurt, home made museli, breads, toast, fruit juices, fresh gound coffee, teas, jams, together with a hearty cooked breakfast. Eat as much or as little as you want!!!
There are three Hotels in the village, that offer a wide variety of food to suit all budgets. We can book dinner for you so that a table is ensured.
